If you’ve finally made up your mind to file for bankruptcy in Connecticut, there are some things you need to know.  First and foremost, you need to know where your case will be filed.  There are three offices in the state of Connecticut that allow you to file for bankruptcy.  They are located in Bridgeport, Hartford, and New Haven.

If you live in Litchfield or Fairfield County, you should file for bankruptcy at the Bridgeport office.  It is located at 915 Lafayette Boulevard, Bridgeport CT, 06604.  In other words, you should visit the Bridgeport office if you live in one of the following towns:
